About
Built for South African padel.
Wayv started with a simple observation: the best point of the night almost never gets recorded, because recording it means somebody has to stop playing.
Every padel club has the same problem. Phones propped against the fence, a friend filming instead of playing, and a camera roll full of forty-minute videos nobody will ever watch. The moment worth keeping is thirty seconds long and it has already passed by the time anyone reaches for a phone.
So we built the opposite. Cameras on every court, running all day, holding the last thirty seconds and throwing away the rest. A sensor on the post. Wave at it and that point — the one that just happened — is saved, cut, branded and in the app before the next serve. Nothing to set up, nothing to carry, nothing to remember except the wave.
Wayv is running today at clubs in Vereeniging, Rustenburg, Centurion and Roshnee, on hardware we install and maintain ourselves.
